I am ineligable for federal loans due to my parents’ income and the only loans I can get are at high interest rates. My parents however will not help me pay for school.

  1. This doesn’t make sense.

Make sure that your parents are not claiming you as a dependent on their tax return. Then take a copy of the tax return to whoever is in charge and tell them that you are on your own.

    GET A JOB!!!!!

  3. Scholarships, grants, student loans, a job……..

  4. first get your on place job and then apply for a federal aide

  5. tell your parents why they gave birth to you if there not going to pay for things lol. you should be able to get loans if your 18 cause your, your own man or woman

  6. As someone who was in this situation, I understand your plight. However, go to websites like Fastweb.com and do scholarship searches. There is no way to declare yourself an independant in this situation (trust me, there is NO way…). The other option ARE those high interest rate loans. The majority of the country has them so don’t feel like your the only one…
