Does anyone have a link to a good adoptive parent support network?

I would like to start having discussions with other adoptive parents. However, most of the support/discussion groups I have found meet during the day. This isn’t good for me.

  1. If you would consider an online support group, Yahoo Groups has lots and lots of groups for adoptive parents - parents of older children, adopting through foster care, international, domestic, transracial…

Just go to the Yahoo Groups page and do a search for what kind of group you’re looking for.

if you go to todays parent (the magazine) or possibly parent magazine they have communities there. I am a frequent user of todays parent, and there is a forum spefically for adoptive parents. They are a great bunch of people (most of them!! lol) and very supportive no matter what you want to talk about
    Good luck!

  4. is an online adoption community, while all members of the triad are welcomed, there is a large adoptive parent presence there. The discussions are for the most part quite lively and the adoptive parents’ experiences range from international to domestic, private to foster-adopt.
